Hello and welcome!
My name is Anjali Wood, but you can just call me Ange. In May 2020, I graduated Cum Laude with my Bachelor of Arts from The University of Tampa. I double majored in New Media Production (concentration in Art) and Advertising and Public Relations (concentration in Creative Advertising). I am originally from central New Jersey (yes, it exists) and went down to Florida to pursue my passions in art, design, creativity, storytelling, and of course, for the warmer weather.
From a young age, I was a lover of reading, listening to music, going to concerts, traveling, seeing movies, binge-watching TV series... doing anything that fueled my imagination. I wanted to join this world of creation and innovation desperately. Studying Creative Advertising and New Media Production gave me the knowledge and tools to use pictures, words, videos, design, and multimedia to tell stories through art.
Currently, I'm a Business Execution Consultant at Wells Fargo in New York, New York. In this role, I specialize in communications, branding, and graphic design for their Global Operations group. I serve as a brand steward for the bank protecting the integrity of the bank's name and visual identity. I also coordinate the early talent program for the Operations business welcoming interns and analysts each year.
Right now I am also getting my Masters of Arts in the Communication and Media from the School of Communication & Information at Rutgers University in New Jersey. It's here where we delve deep into topics of organizational communication, ethics and research, media theories/studies, digital media innovation, understanding the future of algorithms and big data, critiquing advertising and marketing campaigns, etc. This program is expanding my knowledge and view of how communication sits in the facet of every aspect of the professional world.
